At 9:40, March 20, the first modular of Taishan Nuclear Island No. 1 was hoisted, and after 160 minutes, the modular was in place. This was China's first time to successfully manipulate a pre-fabricated nuclear island steel interior modular, which signified a major breakthrough of China's nuclear modularization technology.

Taishan Nuclear Power Station will be China’s first EPR nuclear power station. Modularization technology helps to shorten the construction period.
